Can I transfer my Apple Music library to another Apple account?

Updated

Quick answer

Not directly. Apple has no way to move a streaming library from one account to another. You can migrate songs you bought, and you can copy playlists by sharing them to the new account.

For playlists, share each one from the old account and add it on the new one:

  1. Signed in to the old account, open a playlist in Apple Music and tap the Share button. Send the link to yourself.
  2. Sign in to the new account on another device (or after signing out), open the link and add the playlist to your library.
  3. To own a real copy, open it, select all the songs on a Mac and add them to a new playlist.

Songs you saved without putting them in a playlist won't come along, so first gather them into one big playlist on the old account. On a Mac, open Songs, press Cmd+A and choose Add to Playlist, then New Playlist.

Purchased iTunes music is different. On iPhone, go to Settings, your name, Media & Purchases, View Account, then Migrate Purchases. Both accounts need two-factor authentication and the same country, and Apple says you can't migrate if both accounts have music library data. The old account then can't be used for purchases.
