How do I send someone a list of songs from an Apple Music playlist?

Updated

Quick answer

The quickest way is to send the playlist link: on iPhone, open the playlist, tap the Share button and pick Messages, Mail or AirDrop. If they need a plain list they can read without Apple Music, export it as a text file on a Mac and send that.

On a Mac, select the playlist, click the More button, then choose Share and Copy Link, Mail or Messages. Apple says the link opens in Apple Music on the web, so the person can see the track list in a browser. Sharing from iPhone requires an Apple Music subscription on your end.

For an actual list of titles and artists, use File > Library > Export Playlist in the Mac Music app and save as a text file. Open it in a spreadsheet, keep the Name and Artist columns, and paste them into an email. In iTunes on Windows you can also select songs and use Edit > Copy, which copies the visible columns so you can paste them into a message.

If your friend uses Spotify and wants the playlist there, a link won't help much. Send them our Apple Music to Spotify guide, or move it yourself and share the Spotify link.
