If I cancel Tidal for Qobuz, will my saved albums move over automatically?

Updated

Quick answer

No. Nothing moves between Tidal and Qobuz on its own. You have to run a transfer, and you should do it before your Tidal subscription ends, while you can still sign in.

The easiest way is the Soundiiz pass inside the Qobuz app (Settings, then Transfer your library). One catch: only Playlists is ticked by default, so tick Albums too, plus Artists and Tracks if you want your favorites. The pass is unlimited for one month after you activate it.

If you use Roon, it won't convert Tidal albums to Qobuz for you either. Transfer them in Qobuz first, then let Roon pull in your Qobuz library. Roon-only extras like tags and ratings aren't part of a Soundiiz transfer, so plan to redo those by hand.

When you open an album in Roon that you have in more than one place, the Versions tab shows the Tidal and Qobuz editions side by side, so you can check what came across before you cancel.

Some albums won't match because the catalogs differ. Look at the transfer report and search for those on Qobuz yourself.
