How do I move Roon playlists to Tidal or Qobuz?

Updated

Quick answer

Export the playlist from Roon as a Soundiiz CSV, then import that file into Soundiiz and pick Tidal or Qobuz as the destination. Roon doesn't push its own playlists back to streaming services.

Roon's own blog walks through the Soundiiz route:

  1. In Roon on a computer, open the playlist, click the ... menu and choose Export.
  2. Pick the Soundiiz CSV option and click Save to desktop.
  3. Sign in at soundiiz.com and click Import playlist in the top right.
  4. Choose From File and select the CSV.
  5. Check the tracklist, name the playlist, and pick Tidal or Qobuz.

Export only works in the desktop app. Roon's help center says it isn't available on phones or tablets. The Soundiiz CSV includes Tidal and Qobuz tracks, which a plain folder export skips because they aren't stored locally.

The CSV is a one-time snapshot, so later edits in Roon won't sync over. Soundiiz gives you a list of what it found and what it didn't, so check that for gaps.

If you'd rather not use Soundiiz, TuneMyMusic also accepts an uploaded CSV file and can send it to either service.
