Can I import M3U playlists into Qobuz?

Updated

Quick answer

Yes, through a transfer tool. Soundiiz and TuneMyMusic both read M3U files and rebuild them as Qobuz playlists by matching each song to the Qobuz catalog. Qobuz doesn't document a way to import a file in its own apps.

With Soundiiz, the M3U to Qobuz import goes like this:

  1. Click Import Playlist.
  2. Choose From File and upload the M3U.
  3. Check the songs and give the playlist a name.
  4. Pick Qobuz and start the import.

Single playlist imports are free. If you have dozens of files, you'll be doing them one by one unless you pay for Premium.

TuneMyMusic's file to Qobuz option takes M3U, M3U8, PLS, XSPF, WPL, XML, CSV and TXT, and lets you pick which songs from the file to move. The free plan covers up to 500 tracks. Anything it can't find is marked Missing and you can download that list as a CSV.

Results depend on what's inside the file. An M3U is often just a list of file paths on your drive, so the tool has to work out the artist and title from them, and messy file names lead to misses. Try one small playlist first.

Qobuz playlists hold up to 1,000 tracks, so long ones get split into parts.
