Can I keep Spotify and YouTube Music playlists synced automatically?
Quick answer
Yes, but only with a third-party tool. Soundiiz and TuneMyMusic can watch a playlist on one service and copy its changes to the other on a schedule. Spotify's import and Google's playlist transfer are one-time copies.
Soundiiz is the cheapest way to try it: the free plan includes one playlist sync, and Premium raises that to 20. Go to Your Library, then Playlists, click the three dots next to a playlist and choose Sync with. Pick the other service, choose whether to add new songs or replace the tracks, set a daily, weekly or monthly schedule, and click Save Configuration.
TuneMyMusic's Auto-Sync checks for changes once a day and needs Premium, which is $24 a year. After a transfer, click Sync and pick Mirror or Add only. Mirror carries deletions over. Add only never removes songs from the copy.
Both tools are set up as a source and a target, so pick one side as the playlist you edit and treat the other as the copy. Songs that don't exist on the other service get skipped on every run, so the two playlists may never match exactly.
Google says its own transfer is one-time and later changes don't sync. Our Soundiiz vs TuneMyMusic comparison goes deeper on the sync limits.
