Is a transfer tool's free limit per month or per transfer?

Updated

Quick answer

Neither is monthly. FreeYourMusic gives you one lifetime allowance, Soundiiz caps each playlist transfer, and TuneMyMusic doesn't say whether its 500 songs ever reset.

ToolFree limitHow it works
FreeYourMusic300 songs, 600 after email sign-upLifetime total across all transfers
Soundiiz200 tracks per playlistApplies to each transfer, no running total
TuneMyMusic500 songsReset rule not documented

FreeYourMusic is the strictest. Its help center says the allowance is for life and doesn't reset each month. It's one pool shared by every transfer you run, so once you've used 600 songs, you need Premium to keep going.

Soundiiz works the other way. Its pricing page says there's no cumulative track allowance and the free plan doesn't expire. You move one playlist at a time and pick up to 200 tracks from each, then start the next one. A big library just takes more rounds.

TuneMyMusic's plans page only says you can transfer up to 500 songs for free. It doesn't say whether that's per transfer, per month or for good. If you've got more than 500 songs to move, plan on paying for a month or splitting the job across Soundiiz.
