Why does Soundiiz add text to my playlist descriptions?
Quick answer
The text usually comes from the description field on Soundiiz's setup screen, which is filled in from the source playlist. You can clear it before the transfer or edit it afterward in your music app.
During a transfer, Soundiiz shows a configuration step where you can edit the playlist title and description before tapping Save configuration. Whatever is in that box gets written to the new playlist. Soundiiz doesn't document adding its own name to transferred playlists; the only Soundiiz branding its pricing page mentions is on Smartlinks, which the Creator plan removes.
To get rid of the text:
- On your next transfer, clear or rewrite the description on the configuration screen before saving.
- For playlists already moved, edit the description directly in Spotify, Apple Music or wherever they landed.
- If the text keeps coming back, check for an active sync in Soundiiz. A sync rewrites the destination playlist on its schedule, so delete it if you don't need it.
If you're done with Soundiiz, remove its access too. In Spotify, open your account's Apps page and choose Remove Access next to Soundiiz. That stops it changing anything, and your playlists stay put. Our Soundiiz review covers what it can and can't touch.
