Does Deezer's playlist import work on Family plan profiles?

Updated

Quick answer

Yes, except for kid profiles. Deezer says its import works on independent accounts and profiles on a Family plan, so each adult or teen member can bring in their own library.

Each person should run the import while signed in to their own profile, so the music ends up in their library and their Flow, not someone else's.

  1. Switch to your profile in the Deezer app.
  2. Tap your profile icon, then the Settings cog.
  3. Under Preferences, tap Music, then Import my music.
  4. Pick your old service on the Tune My Music page that opens, choose what to move, and finish with Go back to Deezer.

On some layouts the option sits under Account settings > Transfer your library instead. Deezer says the import is free and has no track limit as long as you start it from the Deezer app. Going straight to tunemymusic.com puts you on its normal free limit, so always start from inside Deezer.

For a kid profile, there's no import, so you'll have to add favorite songs by hand. The Family plan costs $19.99 a month. Our Spotify to Deezer guide has the full steps and what doesn't carry over.
